HON. ARISTOTLE L. AGUIRRE

Municipal Mayor

He finished elementary school in 1988 and completed secondary school in 1992 at San Beda College, Alabang. He proceeded to college and took up a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy at the University of Perpetual Help, Las Piñas, Metro Manila, and graduated in 1999. In the year 2000, he took the Board Exam for Occupational Therapy, passed, and achieved the seventh position in the Philippine Board Examination. In 2002, he took the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy in the United States and passed again.

In 2006, he went to the United States as an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) to work while pursuing expertise in his profession. Through his continuous work as an occupational therapist, he felt the importance of providing genuine assistance to others and being patient in helping children with physical and mental disabilities to play and function according to their abilities through simple and effective methods.

Rose Anne Aure, a native of Makati City, became his life partner. Rose Anne is also an occupational therapist, just like him. They both continued in their profession as occupational therapists, working together as a couple to succeed in their livelihood and fulfill their sworn duty to their profession. Their family life is happy and content, and he dedicates his valuable time to his profession, being a good husband and father, as well as a responsible therapist to his patients.

He grew up well-informed about events related to law and politics because he often accompanied his father, Atty. Vitaliano N. Aguirre II, in important tasks and duties. Through this, he witnessed his father’s profession as a lawyer during the leadership of the late President Ferdinand E. Marcos. He also witnessed the political landscape during Martial Law and how his father navigated life as an excellent lawyer, establishing numerous connections and good-hearted friends who were willing to support and aid noble causes for the nation.

In 2018, Aris attempted to enter the world of politics, but fate took a different turn, and his venture into that realm was postponed. However, in 2021, the opportunity presented itself again, and he had to make a decision to pursue a path in the complex world of politics. Despite the uncertainties that lies ahead, he made a resolute decision, heavily influenced by the crucial role his father, Atty. Boy, played in his choice to run for a successful bid in the upcoming 2022 Elections and serve Mulanay. He deeply admires his father, believing him to be a good-hearted person with nothing but the desire to help and uplift the town of Mulanay.

With this belief in mind, he filed his candidacy for the position of Municipal Mayor, armed with strength, determination, and readiness to fulfill his desire to contribute to the improvement of the town’s livelihood and focus on much-needed social services for its people.

His noble aspirations, positive outlook, and sincere desire to lead the town for the sake of his beloved fellow Mulanay residents make Mulanay his cherished home. He aims to triumph in this endeavor for the town’s betterment. Atty. Aguirre’s enthusiastic assistance, support, and care, as his partner, in pursuing a modern firetruck, ambulance, and rescue vehicles for Mulanay, conducting medical missions during the pandemic to address the medical needs of the citizens, coordinating with the authorities to establish a hospital, and focusing on road improvement projects that were previously neglected, all go hand in hand with his efforts to discover the talents of the youth and elderly. Team Aris Aguirre launched competitions such as “Mulanay Singing Idol” and “Senior Citizens Got Talent.”

His focus is directed towards three priorities: First, the improvement of the water system to ensure a clean and sufficient water flow throughout the community. Second, the enhancement of services at the Rural Health Unit and the promotion of building an Ospital ng Mulanay to prioritize the citizens’ health. Lastly, the restoration of the Farm-to-Market Roads that have long been neglected in terms of proper concreting to expedite the transportation of farmers to the town and sell their products or harvest at the right time. Thus, his priorities are centered around the town’s essential needs.

His fervent aspiration is for a direct change, a new face of Mulanay that reflects the desired transformation of its people. There are many aspects of the governance system that need improvement, as they have hindered the town’s progress for too long. Many things must be fixed and corrected after being neglected for a prolonged period.

Rectifying wrongful practices and addressing flawed systems posed a significant challenge, especially amidst the pandemic. In the process of change, he believes there is still time to advance and accelerate the town’s development. As a reliable leader, he is prepared to contribute to the town’s progress in a positive manner.

He is ready to face all the challenges in the world of politics as the Municipal Mayor of Mulanay. His integrity and sincere desire to serve the town are the foundations that will enable him to fulfill his role properly. Even though he is not yet in office, he has already provided essential assistance and has not wasted time taking action to help address the needs of those who require aid.

May the people of Mulanay witness and experience Kuya Aris Aguirre’s sincere desire to uplift the livelihood of the citizens and bring progress to the town.
